EMBRACE NOW

“If we take eternity to mean not infinite temporal duration, but timelessness, then eternal life belongs to those who live in the present.” - Ludwig Wittgenstein

Time cannot be stopped or given back, but I beg to say, you can slow it down. Of course, not in the literal sense of sorcery or witchcraft, but by embracing and appreciating it. Being mindful of it, living in its present tense, slows everything down. Draw power from what a gift that is. Be ever so grateful for it. It is truly a superpower. Even in bad times, imagine telling yourself, I am thankful that I can experience this horrible thing right now, or, I am so lucky I have a million things to do and deadlines looming. I hope this little reminder helps get you to that level of gratitude.

One of my favorite fictional characters, Apollo Creed, so adamantly and passionately reminds another of my favorites, Rocky Balboa, when Rocky tells him he will do it tomorrow: THERE IS NO TOMORROW…THERE IS NO TOMORROW…. THERE IS NO TOMORROW. Embrace NOW, either good or bad, with gratitude and grace, and give yourself the most precious of commodities, TIME.

Who has been able to do this pretty consistently? Please share your experiences or thoughts. Thank you always for reading!
